From Nursery to Reception, Our Early Years team provide high quality, interest based and child led opportunities for learning to cover the skills set out in the UK National Curriculum, ‘Development Matters’. We carefully plan for a range of ‘continuous’ and ‘enhanced’ provision which is flexible and specifically targeted to meet the individual needs of all pupils. ‘Continuous provision’ is the ongoing resources and activities the children can choose to access and ‘Enhanced provision’ is the specific adaptations teachers make to scaffold learning as they interact with the children through their play and child led projects.
Our Focus is always to develop experiences and skills in all areas of learning. Using our broad-based class topics as a framework, teachers build on the interests of each child they observe during play based learning time. This is then extended through teacher led sessions, focused activities and multi-sensory challenges. Our activities provide opportunities for children to explore, investigate, create and discover their way through the curriculum. This personalised learning supports each child to work towards their age appropriate goals that their own pace.
We've been very happy with our experience at St. Andrews. The attention and programme seems highly customised for each child. Our teacher has been an exceptionally caring and empathetic teacher. Our son was labeled as 'unable to focus' in his previous school but has been validated as a happy, enthusiastic and highly social child at St. Andrews. He received a 'super star' award early on and this has been a big turning point in terms of his own self confidence and motivation for learning.

My child has attended St. Andrews Dusit since term 2019. I can feel my child really enjoys going to school, she always shows me artwork from school proudly. There are lots of interesting activities for children and also there is a high standard in their academic program. I am so impressed with my child’s progression. THANK YOU SO MUCH to all teachers and staff in Early Years.

My child is very happy learning at Dusit. He started in Nursery and is now in Reception. He loves comes into school everyday with enthusiasm and happiness (even with his sleepy face in the early morning! :) ). He learns a lot of things at school e.g. English speaking, phonics, performance, songs, sport, etc. He enjoys being with his classmates and he always tells me about what he does with his friends delightfully. Dusit has a good community especially students, parents, teachers, and staff. Teachers are nice, polite, friendly, and very supportive. I highly recommend Dusit for parents who are looking for an international school for their children. St. Andrews Dusit is one of the best choices.

Mandarin, Thai & English
We believe that being multilingual is a key element of global citizenship, as it allows our students to communicate effectively with their peers at St. Andrews Dusit and the wider world around them. This is why students enjoy Thai lessons taught by native specialists from the first day they join us, learning to acquire a second language as well as developing a greater appreciation for the culture of the country we live in. Children from Kindergarten enjoy a third specialist language lesson in Mandarin, the most widely spoken language worldwide, giving our students unparalleled opportunity for success in our interconnected global economy.
We are proud to celebrate diversity every day with St. Andrews Dusit’s international community of students representing over 20 nationalities, and we are committed to supporting students whose first language is not English. Designed to meet the academic needs of students at various levels of the acquisition process, our specialist English language support program improves students’ abilities in reading, writing, listening and speaking until they are ready to excel in our mainstream programs.
We recognise the importance of sports participation and regular physical activity, not only in improving strength and fitness, but also for its positive effects in developing personal and social skills, and resilience skills such as self-motivation and self-belief. At St. Andrews Dusit, students enjoy specialist swimming lessons at our two on-site swimming pools from just 2 years old, where they learn introductory water safety skills and techniques to stay afloat. Early Years students further develop and refine their gross motor skills through our extensive Physical Education Programme, offering a wide range of sports including athletics, dance, gymnastics, football and basketball.
Research has shown that a strong arts education not only helps to develop a child’s senses and self-expression, but it also has a direct link to mental development, intelligence and memory. This is why specialist arts lessons begin at just 2 years old so that our youngest children can embark on a rich creative journey from their first day with us at St. Andrews Dusit.
Our music curriculum focuses on vocal skills, composition, group work and listening skills, where students are exposed to an extensive range of percussion instruments, keyboards, recorders and ukuleles. In the visual arts, students explore colors, textures and a variety of media, all the while developing hand and finger dexterity essential to classroom success through painting, drawing and sculpting activities. Theater arts play an equally important role in our Early Years curriculum, as students develop their speech and self-expression skills in preparation for our highly popular drama performances offered in primary.
