Loy Krathong 2018

Last week we celebrated Loy Krathong, a Thai festival where krathong, decorated baskets, are made and are then floated on water to give thanks and pay respects to the goddess of water.
We started the day with our children taking us on a journey through Thailand and the history of Loy Krathong with performances and presentations on its tribal heritage. We were even lucky enough to have some of our Year 2 parents perform a beautiful traditional Thai dance at our full school assembly. We then welcomed parents to join us for the morning to make Krathong with the children and float them together on our school swimming pools.
