Transition Day 2018
Early years Transition: As we approach the end of the academic year, the students are preparing to either start school or move year groups in August. It is very important for students, especially in Early Years, to be given to opportunity to become familiar with their new surroundings, new friends and new teachers.
Today, students met their new teachers and completed activities in their new free-flow environment. Children enjoyed listening to stories, watching videos, cutting and sticking new creations as well as building with a variety of materials, exploring new textures through sensory play and lots of role play opportunities. The children really enjoyed their activities and our teachers and staff relished the time they spent with their new classes.
Primary Years (1 – 5):
Excitement filled the air this morning, as all the children from Years 1 – 5 moved up to their next year group! Lots of laughter could be heard as the pupils went to meet their new teachers and teaching assistants; what a busy morning we all had! Writing letters, painting kites, making videos and sharing some of our unique talents and interests left us all feeling very excited for the new academic year to begin!
