A Welcome from Our Head

I am excited to have this opportunity to introduce you to St. Andrews International School, Dusit.

Dusit is more than a school, it is a close-knit community where staff, parents and students work together to ensure each child is recognised as an individual and is empowered to achieve their full potential.

What makes St. Andrews Dusit so special? We know that every child is different and take great pride in providing our children with a huge range of opportunities, carefully designed to spark their interests. We have a highly skilled, caring, and supportive team, who understand the importance of knowing their children and who invest time in building strong relationships with them. This level of care enables us to personalise student learning experiences so that our students feel valued and included. We want our children to feel a sense of belonging when they come to school each day and we believe that there is always an opportunity for every child to succeed, whatever their strengths and interests.

Our core values underpin daily life at Dusit. Expectations and standards are high and there is a determination to achieve and do one’s best in all things. We teach our children to be understanding and to value the importance of looking after each other, our school, and the world around us. We also teach children to be successful by using their curiosity and enthusiasm to ask questions, as well as solve problems! We provide opportunities for our children to be independent and lead their own learning journey with confidence. Students collaborate often; they know that teamwork is an essential skill for the future and that working together, we can achieve so much!

We believe that children’s happiness and emotional wellbeing is essential for them to be able to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. We tailor the English National Curriculum to our context here in Thailand and skilfully weave opportunities for Outdoor Education, health and wellbeing throughout our units of work to ensure that children receive a broad and rich education.

I look forward to welcoming you to St. Andrews Dusit soon and introducing you to our happy and empowered community of learners!
