When does the school year begin and end?

The school year runs from August to June and is split into three terms.

What curriculum does St. Andrews International School, Dusit follow?

We are aligned with the English National Curriculum.

Where are the teaching staff from and what type of qualifications do they possess?

  • The majority of our teaching staff are from the UK or English as a native tongue country.
  • All possess UK recognised teaching degrees and/or relevant (such as NQT,…).

Which organisations are St. Andrews International School, Dusit accredited with?

We are accredited by the EDT Education Trust, licensed by the Thai Ministry of Education and accredited through ONESQA (Sor mor Sor) the international schools inspection body.

How long is the school day?

  • Nursery half Days – 7:50am -12pm
  • Nursery full days – 7:50am – 2:30pm
  • Kindergarten to Year 6 – 7:50am- 2:30pm / 3:45pm Extra Curricular Activities (ECAs)

What are your class sizes?

  • Nursery maximum is 16
  • Kindergarten maximum is 18
  • Reception maximum is 18
  • Year 1 to Year 6 maximum is 20

What are the ratios of adults to children in the classroom?

  • Nursery – 1:4
  • Kindergarten – 1:6
  • Reception – 1:9
  • Year 1 to Year 6 – 1:10

What languages are taught at St. Andrews International School, Dusit?

Currently we offer Thai in accordance with the guidelines from the Thai Ministry of Education and from Reception on additional languages offered are Native Thai, Mandarin, Spanish, Japanese, French and with potential for parents to enquire about others (eg. We have previously provided German upon enquiry).

What special assistance is available for students?

St. Andrews International School, offers places for Learning Support, if we are able to provide relevant support for the care of the child. We also offer English as an Additional Language Program, which acts as a booster in proficient English.

What extra-curricular activities are available for my child?

St. Andrews International, School Dusit offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities each term, including sports, robotics/computing, arts and music.

How can parents be involved with the school community?

Our Parent community can volunteer, support and contribute in big events, such as participating in sporting events, organising food for celebrations such as International Week, volunteering to read to students or helping in organising charitable fundraising like at our Fun Day and other social events. 

When should students apply?

St. Andrews International School, Dusit observes a rolling admission’s policy. If space allows and the assessment is criteria met, children can join the school throughout the year. Please apply.
